Intro to Belaying

Your first step to get the most out of Salt Pump. Learn proper gear fitting, knot tying, belaying and basic movement skills from an enthusiastic and patient instructor. No skills needed. 14yo & over. 6 person max.

Intro to Movement

You’ve climbed a few times (or more) and are ready to learn the fundamental movement patterns and techniques of efficiency. In a bouldering based class, you’ll get a workout, learn the jargon and walk away a smarter climber.

Intro to Lead

You’re ready for the sharp end now. Over 3 sessions, you’ll practice clipping, lead belaying, and take your first whipper. Using circular learning, you’ll learn & practice to ingrain the fundamentals of lead climbing in a small group environment.

An 8 week program with similarly motivated individuals who want to build their skills and learn structured workouts with encouraging and supportive coaches. Season 1 is for those who’ve never done organized training before. Season 2 is for those who want to continually work towards their peak ability. No matter which team you join, the experience is inclusive, challenging, and fun.

You’ve been climbing for a while and are looking for structure and advanced methods to help you break through a plateau. Mindful workouts, integrated strength and limit climbing will all be a part of the process.

Skill Seminars

Learning and practicing technical skills is the lynchpin of a successful transition into outdoor climbing. Let us get you going with best practices and real time answers to your many questions. Learn to jam and layback cracks, set up an extended rappel, and make and clean anchors with a knowledgeable instructor.

Outdoor Rock Climbing

The urge to climb rocks is universal and we can help. Whether you’re just interested in an enjoyable day on the rock or want to gain more technical skills in an outdoor environment, we’re here to make your experience fantastic. We climb at all of the classic New England crags and would look forward to being your risk manager and ambassador to outdoor rock climbing.

Yoga

All classes are for all levels of yogi and are FREE for Salt Pump members and folks using day passes or punch passes.

  • Mats and props provided.
  • Sign up sheet is at the front desk. Put your name on the list and enjoy the class.
  • Please arrive at least a few minutes a head of time to roll out your mat and settle in.

An all levels Vinyasa class focused on exploring intuitive, embodied movement and building relationships with the breath to deepen connection with the body.

Beginners Flow Yoga. Vinyasa style practice with an emphasis on anatomical alignment and honoring your body and mind's energy levels.

Wednesday

Mindful Movement with Emma

Explore your breath, mobility, and strength through this all levels flow. This class will challenge and energize your practice, while also giving you the opportunity to slow down and connect with your body.

Thursday

7:00p - 8:00p

Restorative Yoga with Samantha

Restorative yoga is the practice of deep rest in both body and mind. Expect to hold long postures to facilitate relaxation and meditation.
