Yoga & Fitness Classes
The movement, mind focus, and body awareness required for yoga are perfect complements to climbing. We offer yoga classes regularly for members and visitors in our quiet community room overlooking Scamman Pond and the birch forest beyond. Start or finish your climbing day with a yoga class, or come in for one on your rest day!
Yoga classes are free with your entry to the gym.
Consider completing our digital waiver before visiting to make the registration process a breeze!
***Be sure to check out the calendar for cancellations and special yoga / fitness events, workshops and clinics!***
Vinyasa Flow w/ micah
This class is a great way to find a connection with body breath movements. Flow is the key theme of the class, but students will have the option to make the class as hard or as easy as they would like it to be. We will flow through multiple vinyasa variations and explore different advanced asanas. A little yoga experience is recommended but it is not necessary.
Power & Strength w/ Liz
Think yoga is for sissies? This class will make you rethink that notion. Liz will take you through powerful flows, aiming to build strength, stability, and rootedness. This 1 hour and 15 minutes class will make you sweat.
Yin Yoga w/ Molly
Balance and depth are the key themes of this class. Yin is the deep, stable, and more passive side of yoga. We focus on increasing mobility and flexibility, especially in the joints and hips. In a series of supported poses (often held for a few minutes at a time) we strive to maintain a balance in sensation, activating our deep tissues and increasing blood flow throughout the body. Yin aids in deepening relaxation, increasing stamina, and maintaining mobility. For any level.
ASHTANGA INSPIRED VINYASA w/ Keiko
Breath is the key theme of this class. Breathing with “sound” heats the body, moves energy, steadies the mind, and guides movement. The practice flows through a series of postures that realigns the body and mind to find greater ease on and off the mat. Most beneficial if you are already physically active and comfortable with basic yoga postures.
