Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

No refunds or credits will be given. Reservations can be moved between camp weeks (ie. changes) before June 1st as space allows.

If I register my two children, will we receive a sibling discount?

We will not be offering any discounts at this time.

When is all camp specific paper-work due?

We are asking that all waivers and medical forms are completed at least one-week prior to your camper coming on their first day of camp.

How will drop-off & pick-up work this summer?

Drop-off & pick-up will take place in the gym this summer. We do ask that you come into the facility with your camper in order to sign them in for the day.

Will my camper be required to wear a face mask?

Masking is now optional for anyone entering our facility.

Will there be an after-care option?

We will be offering after-care this summer. The cost of after-care is $25 per day per person. If signing up for the full week of camp, the cost is $100 per participant. If you have additional questions regarding after-care, please email [email protected]

Will the gym be open to the public while my camper is at Salt Pump?

The gym will be open to the public during camp hours.

Can I come watch my camper climb?

We have scheduled time into our day on Fridays to invite parents into the facility to watch their camper. Please be sure to complete a waiver for yourself and anyone else joining on Friday prior to your arrival. Our waiver can be completed, here

My camper has been recently sick (with COVID or otherwise), when can they return to camp?

We follow all CDC protocols regarding returning to programming. If your camper is symptom and fever free (without use of fever reducing medication), they can return to camp after 5 days. Day zero being the first day of symptom onset. Masks are required for up to 10 days. Masks can be removed prior to 10 days with 2 sequential negative tests 48 hours apart.

What is your behavior policy?

As you can imagine, this is a challenging time to manage behavior that may put the rest of the group at risk. We tend to work with a 3-step protocol that includes working with the camper to better understand why we are asking them to follow certain procedures and how it is for their benefit and the benefit of the group. Our next step is to provide a safe space for them to be able to take a moment of reprieve and then chat with one of our camp leaders until they are ready to rejoin the group. We hope that this will be enough for any camper. In the unlikely event that this isn’t enough for them, we will ask parents to come and pick-up the camper and we can try again the next day. If this happens on another day, we will follow the same process, as it is hopefully familiar to the camper. If the camper goes home again on this second occasion, we will likely ask the camper to not return to camp and booking fees will be forfeited.

"My little climber has been so excited to share her experience with everyone. She loved climbing blindfolded and being able to learn belaying. This camp is packed full of fun, learning and adventure! A definite must on the camp list. My daughter was a little nervous to start a new camp, especially because she didn’t know anyone else taking the week long climbing camp. The atmosphere was relaxed, the activities varies, and she came home happy every day. Her counselor, Kai, was soft spoken and thoughtful, giving my daughter new skills and confidence in something she can continue to pursue. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommended the camp or the facility. Thank You! The staff was very patient and welcoming. My daughter loves to climb now. She’s hooked!"
